Family and Marriage Counselling

Support for couples and families navigating marital conflict, parenting stress, blended-family challenges, separation, divorce, or communication breakdowns. Our therapists help you understand the patterns affecting your relationship and family life, and build practical ways to move forward together.

Family therapy helps families overcome obstacles and build stronger connections — with a safe, supportive space to work through challenges together.

When families need support

Family difficulties can affect every member differently. Therapy can help when families are experiencing:

  • Marital conflict or tension affecting the whole family
  • Frequent conflict or communication breakdowns
  • Difficulty adjusting to major life changes — divorce, blended families, loss
  • A child or teen struggling with behaviour, anxiety, or mood
  • Disconnection or lack of closeness between family members
  • Stress, grief, or trauma affecting the family as a whole

Family therapy tailored to your family

Every family is unique. Our therapists work with you to understand your dynamics and develop a plan that fits your situation — whether you're navigating a life transition, conflict, or longer-standing patterns.

We provide a safe, non-judgmental environment for all family members to feel heard and understood.

Benefits of family therapy

Family therapy focuses on improving communication, resolving conflict, and fostering a healthier dynamic — so families can move forward together rather than apart.

Sessions are available in person at Thornhill, Bloor & Bathurst, and Yonge & Eglinton, or virtually across Ontario. We work with the family members who are ready to engage, at whatever pace feels right.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can family counselling help with marriage problems?
Yes. Many families come to us when marital conflict is affecting the whole household. Your therapist can work with couples together, with the full family, or with whichever family members are ready to participate.
Does everyone in the family need to attend?
Not always. We work with the family members who are ready to engage — sometimes that is both partners, sometimes parents and children, or one parent with a child. Your therapist will discuss what makes sense at the first session.
Do you offer virtual or in-person sessions?
Both — choose the format that works best for your family.
How do we get started?
Call or send us a message to book a first session. We'll explain what to expect and match you with a therapist.

Thornhill, Bloor & Bathurst, and Yonge & Eglinton — plus virtual sessions across Ontario.
